HDR Processing Video

I created a one frame per second screen capture of an HDR image I processed for ipicture365. I wanted to share with my PhotoshopIsland followers. This is a demonstration of how I'm processing HDR images. I went through several processing steps on this image. I wanted to get a sense of how it actually felt when I shot the images. I was excited by the color play between the orange and blue. It's not a process I do exactly the same each time. I'm sharing my process for working with my images and would be happy to know how others process HDR images.

Shot on a Canon 5D with a Canon 24-105mm. As shown in the video, processed in Lightroom, Photomatrix, NIK Color Efex Pro 4 and Photoshop.

New Freebie! It's an ID badge ready for you to customize and change up anyway you want. The file is high resolution and layered. The freebie includes both PSD and TIF versions included so you can use with older Photoshop versions, Elements and other image editing software.

This is an update of the fake photographers ID badge that was available on my old blog CampPhotoshop.com.  I've streamlined the layers and include links to the fonts used below. I kept my design generic so that you can use it as a business ID, group ID, or use in a design about IDs or play a joke on someone.

The content of these daily posts, from a subject matter perspective, will be wide and varied. The focus is on learning by doing. The Great Pumpkin arrives soon! Check out this October 2011 calendar layered Photoshop template. I know it’s not a good idea to get to enamored with your own work but I think this is my favorite monthly calendar I’ve created this year. It might just be the season. It might be that I know in the next 30 days there will be lots of candy around. I’m not sure. I do know the thought of October puts me in a good mood. 

I gave the just released Retrographer Photoshop filter by Mister Retro. a test on this image. I liked the results. There’s lots of interesting options that are going to have me sucked in and playing for hours.

Time to fly! This September 2011 mini calendar features a North American P-51 Mustang I shot at an air show recently. There were actually 2 of these planes at the show. These old birds are fun to look at. I really worked the image over adding the end of day sunset look using Magic Bullet PhotoLooks and Knoll Light Factory.

FREE Real Fire Layered Photoshop File

New on fire freebie! You can always use some fire to heat up a design. And better yet some real fire, not the fake generated stuff. I was excited when my friend and aspiring photographer Lynn White sent me some images she shot of a bon fire. She knows I like this sort of stuff and said I was welcome to do whatever I wanted with the images. So thanks to Lynn we all have a real fire layered image to make our work HOT!

This is a layered Photoshop .PSD and .TIF. The fire element has been masked so you can layer and mix into your own design. You can access the layer and change it up or use as is your one design. 2012 Annual Calendar Tips & Tricks Video Tutorial

I just posted a new basic tips and tricks tutorial for the new 2012 annual calendar Photoshop brushes. The tutorial shows how to get the calendar brushes to appear in your Photoshop brush fly-out menu, how to make your calendars appear bolder/stronger and how to isolate elements in your calendar and change their color. I really enjoy making and sharing these calendars as well as tips and ideas how to use.
